Chips: 2,456 | | | Re: withdrawing funds I'd seen that post jojo linked from 2+2 about C2P not accepting US customers anymore, so aborted signing up through them. EPassporte is next up, but I suspect they'll be gone soon as well. I've heard they are somewhat shady, so I'm not sure I'll use them. Neteller was the big gun, when they bailed I think everyone else will follow suit.
I posted in one of the Neteller threads that Bodog was having problems with both eChecks and paper checks, and an unsupported claim that FT was having a problem with the same. According to Stu Patterson (a FT pro) via a 2+2 post, FT is not sending any paper checks.
From pocketfives Western Union seems to be risky for bigger rolls,
"For those of you would do not believe Entmd8tr, consider this. The DOJ investigation against Betonsports was initiated when a branch of Western Union in Missouri suspected certain wire transfers were related to online gambling. They tipped off the DOJ and the DOJ began investigating. The result was the indictment of Betonsports and the arrest of David Carruthers. I think the message is very clear that Western Union DOES NOT tolerate wire transfers that are used for gambling. Those of you who have not had any problems have probably just avoided their detection. I think it takes a vigilant local Western Union employee (a.k.a. ahole) to spot these types of things. Here is a link to one of many stories about this on the web. http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl...9/ai_n16541286 "
Paper checks from Stars from what I've heard are still okay.

Is that the case? | well, the problem is that this is unclear. it's crazy, but it seems this law won't be sorted out until we see how it's going to be enforced and whether the courts disagree with the executive branch's enforcement thereof.
in the meantime, everyone's making guesses. party made a guess, p* made a different one, and so on. |

Of course, unless your one of the better online players. Online poker is about convience, playing more hands, making more money...if your good enough. Online poker is harder than live play (regardless of how many fish you think there are). I was gearing up to make a run at it this summer. Played before online and online as well for years. I'm not thrilled about playing against sharks all the time, and thinking I'm going to beat the rake plus some is a pipe dream for me.
I'm going to wait and see what happens before I go any further. |

We'll see if it shows up and whether or not my bank will accept it, in a few days,(I hope). I'll keep everyone posted when I find out. |

There are bigger ramifications to all of this as a result of slowing down the flow of money to the poker sites.
Be careful, whatever you do. |
