Re: Neteller update

Playing poker online is very convienent, BUT at what price? Yeah the rake is better and you don't tip. If you forgot, online poker is a billion dallar industry. Without a constant flow of fish, the game will get ridiculous. ALL players generate rake, even if you never played a hand. Your blinds will help, but not much. In time, only the very best will win. Odds are that won't be you or I.

Anyhow IMO the trend of online poker is going bye bye.

I've been playing on other folks money for close to a year now so I'll wait and see what happens.

The current legislation indicates that but laws can change in an instant. If everyone is doing and wants to keep doing it, it'll be around in one form or another.

Re: Neteller update

I have had a click2pay account for a couple of years now. It works well, pretty much the same as neteller & firepay, but a little more convoluted to use.

If you leave money on your Neteller account then they deposit it in a bank and hold it for you. They make their money off of transaction fees, so it isn't going anywhere. If everyone in the US withdrew from Neteller today I am sure they could cover it all (albeit the transaction times would greatly lengthen due to the overwhelming demand) and would make an absolute killing from all of the transactions fees.

And you are paranoid about the banks. If everyone went and withdrew their money from the bank it would take them a period of time to process all of the transactions, but they would get all of the money back, it is federally regulated.

Yep. Marijuana has been illegal since the 30s (20s?) and as of 2006 it is America's biggest cash crop.

The same will happen here or the government will make it legal and create a mechanism for earnings to be reported and taxes levied.

Not that I advocate the use of marijuana but its partially legalized in CA and anyone remember prohibition.
