Mine is "removed" because the bank account that's registered with NT is now closed. If they won't let you remove the EFT ability then yeah, you probably shouldn't use neteller right now.
I haven't had to fund my account for years but will have to soon (unless I go on a sick run at $1/2 6max but I doubt it). I went through that whole life-busto thing again so the 'roll went to buying xmas gifts. I guess I'll mail them a check, dunno. If my paypal debit card comes in time I'll try to use my ebay/moving sale to fund it. We'll see.
Sucks this is happening to honest poker players.

And all may passwords are different. That should add a level of protection. Hopefully nobody else gets burned by theiving degenerates.

Sucks this is happening to honest poker players. | If you remove the EFT part of NT you lose insta-cash, but could I still use my Visa Debit Card for my checking account? I ask this because Visa would 100% guarantee my money in all online transactions, and I would gladly give up the instacash's easy access in order to guarantee my funds.
I emailed Neteller and asked them what they are doing to combat this situation. I have recently run spybot, adaware, weekly full virus scan with updated definitions, and checked my two firewalls to make sure they are secure, and afterwards changed every password I have on any site that has any financial information. But I don't like the fact that no amount of work on my part will prevent Neteller or PSO or someone like that from hacking my info and going after my accounts. I just want to make sure that if someone does figure out a way to get to it that I can stop it and guarantee my funds before it goes too far.
anyway paranoid rant off... |

When I said affiliated I didn't mean employees of PSO, but just people that had signed up at poker sites using PSO as their affiliate to get bonuses, free stuff, rakeback etc. I don't think PSO is robbing people or giving out their info, but I do have some concerns that their security may have been breached and could be the source of some of these problems. |

I've sent links to this thread and Jamby's to Lisa Wheeler at CardPlayer Magazine for a potential investigative story.
Everyone and anyone who has contacts in the news and television media should write to these people now.
This story is too big to ignore and for those who have eyewitness accounts, we should all do our best to get this issue out into the news ASAP. |
