Would you do the same? The table was extremely loose at this stage, mostly passive with the occasional maniacal hand or two. No notes on UTG+1 prior to the hand which just means I hadn't seen him show down anything terrible (wasn't playing with a HUD).

My thought process went...
Game seems passive right now, 88 enough to limp.
Called bet intending only to continue if an 8 flopped.
Top set, no flush possibilities bet out and raised (should I have let UTG+1 bet here to try to get other callers? I may have forgotten about UTG+1's PF bet)
Turn seemed reasonably safe so bet and reraise.
River was a third diamond.
