Atleast thats how I understood it.

there is some good info in this thread.
I think it is clear from Jamby's case that everyone should be changing their passwords pretty frequently on these things. It may be that Neteller has a crack that is being exploited, but at least you can do what you can to keep your end safe. |

Not at all helpful to this investigation so I wrote them back asking what initial account the funds went into at their site since the NT outgoing transaction was a single one for $750. We forwarded this query to our poker department to investigate as the money (750 USD ) that was deposited via Neteller in a new account opened yesterday was played in poker. We have just received information that the money was not passed to any player in particular and was unfortunately lost to many players. As such we are unable to retrieve the funds. I have thought all along that NT is the culprit here as the other accounts are available within the NT history. In mycase, I have had other online poker accounts in the past - PokerRoom, Doyle's Room, Titan, Empire Poker. None of them had any funds on deposit though. I'm thinking about contacting them all to see if anybody logged in to my accounts and from what IP address. Quote: |

All this computer techy mumbo jumbo does not help us lay people...so hopefully someday this unfortunate event can be summarized for everyone's benefit if needed.
We can thank the US Government anti gambling legislation for this because now we have little control over offshore financial institutions like these. |
