So what was your first hand of 2007?

Anything happen with it? How was your first game of the new year?

I'll go first...

My first hand was at the Argosy and it was Q2 offsuit. Folded

Mememorable expieriences from this session.

Stacked in the first hand! Delt KJ, limped from the button. Flop was KJ9, no flush. Here is the series:

Limped in the pot from position. $1/3 game

My chips were barely out of the rack! RELOAD time!

Played for about 3+ hours on the second buy and got KK busted by JJ when J66 showed on the flop. However, the guy neglected to tell me he flopped the boat and all but stacked me. BW actually finished me off. I was down to $30 and I hit 5s with a flush draw. She slow-played a straight on me.

Next buy went the duration and I almost filled two racks with nickels. I managed to get AA delt to me, and caught another on the flop. Board reads A35. Big blind was amongst 6 limpers. I limped because I thought someone was going to raise. Anyway BB bets $10 I smooth call and we pick up a raise to $25. BB pushes for $75. I go into the tank and realize I've screwed myself and let BB hit a monster junk hand. My only hope was to try and salvage some money out of the big mouthed original raiser in a side pot. I pushed for $177. Big mouth goes into the tank for about a min then decides to call me off. Turn J River J for a boat! Big mouth shows 35 for two pair.

After that I stole a $400 pot with a $100 bet on the river with a busted straight draw. Aparently the two other bettors were drawing too.

Certainly not my best game of poker. Actually some of my worst, but still a lot of fun.

Funny you should ask... This was right at midnight, during a P*Stars 180, playing with Chaude. Ended up in the money.

i cashed in both 18 person sng's i played. which was nice. then i played ftp nl for a couple of hours...there was an awesome fish that played 97% of his hands and raised or reraised every time it came to him. i won a bit from him, but on my best chance i got busto. guiltyone is mr. raisy. ice, the guy between guilty and me, is a goofball. he's frustrated by guilty, but...let's say confused about optimum strategy. he insists on getting all-in preflop, or going in on the flop with bottom pair against him. eventually, guiltyone left with $60, mostly from this goofball.

dude, this is what you get when you ask how my night went. don't get me started about the 180-sng i played where i got it in pair over pair preflop in a 10k pot near the bubble and the guy made a flush on the river.

My 2006 ended like crap

Lost $60 at 1/2 6 max

Then I see that Andy Bloch is playing 1/2 HORSE on Full Tilt and a seat finally opens up on Andy's left.

I started in Stud high and was up a couple bucks here, down a couple bucks there, no real hands of note.

So about an hour later we've gone through all 5 games and we hit stud hi/lo for a second time and then all goes downhill

Andy raises with a King, I have something like 642, I call, 2 others call. One seems to be going high, the other low.

4th street Andy bets, I have a Jack but other low guy gets a 9 so I call because the pot is big.

5th street I pull a 5 and I'm drawing to a 6 low. Andy bets, I call, another call, other low guy raises (ugh), Andy reraises (sigh) and now do I call 2 bets with a draw to a 6 low? One ace and one 3 is gone so I have 6 outs, 3 of which could get me to scoop. The pot is $48 right now, so I call and then it gets capped. No help on 6th or 7th for me and I'm down.

A few hands later I get a monster hand rolled up 10s. I forgot I was playing hi/lo for a second and I just limped and a guy with a K high raised, one guy looking for low called and I called.

Of course on 4th street guy hits a 3rd king and I get screwed as I never fill up.

$100 or so loss last night, not a good way to start off the New Year!
