PokerStars Reload Bonus - My credit card worked!!!

Ok so PokerStars has their 25% reload bonus going on and I want to do the max deposit to take full advantage of the bonus. I knew a bonus would be coming up...

First I tried to make a deposit to my Neteller account with my credit card and it was declined... WTF? In the past I have made deposits to my Neteller account with my credit card just fine. So I came up with the following plan:

1. Link Neteller to my checking accout
2. Make a deposit to my Neteller account
3. Make a small deposit to my PokerStars account via Neteller
4. Cashout $600 from my PokerStars account to my Neteller account
5. Wait for the PokerStars reload bonus and then deposit $600 from the Neteller account.

This was a great plan until PokerStars started their bonues before I was ready. So I tried something... I attempted to deposit money to my PokerStars account with my credit card (like have done many times in the past) and.... IT WORKED!!!!!

I can't say your credit card will work, but give it a try.

wonder if they've changed their sic code or something? I know some banks block on this.

Re: PokerStars Reload Bonus - My credit card worked!!!

How about you give me your credit card and I'll see if it works with my account?

Thanks for the tip...

I find it depends upon the issuing bank in most cases.

Re: PokerStars Reload Bonus - My credit card worked!!!

New problem, I don't know if it is related to me making a deposit on PokerStars but as of this afternoon my credit card does not work on anything! The bank is closed until tuesday, this sucks. I checked my credit card account online and the PokerStars transaction is not listed. I'll post back when I know more.

We should wait a week and see if SWAT comes crashing through Seitz's window. Seitz, you might be the 'example'.

Re: PokerStars Reload Bonus - My credit card worked!!!

I tried with two different CC's and both time I was denied. The message I received from P*'s was the following:

Your credit card transaction has been declined. If your credit card information was entered correctly, your transaction was probably declined due to internet gaming restrictions set by your credit card issuer.

Re: PokerStars Reload Bonus - My credit card worked!!!

Well I'm happy to report I did not get thrown in the pokey over Christmas. I called my bank this morning and my accout was flagged for "fraudulent activity". I was told it was because I made several (maybe 5) charges in one day (which is out of the norm for me). The lady at the bank asked me about the charges, including the PokerStars one and I said they were all valid. She said she would take the flag off my account. I have not tried my credit card yet to see if everything is ok, I'll try that later today here at work. I believe the PokerStars transaction was the reason the account was flagged.

My next test will be setting up a new FullTilt account.

Chuck
