Now I'll be sure never to play online for money, it seemed too easy of a system to crack. I have friends from college, etc. all over the country how could the online poker rooms know that there's 3 of us on a conference call sucking all the money away from the other 3 suckers.
At least I'm a millionaire in play money. By the way, what's a sit n go? |

At least I'm a millionaire in play money. By the way, what's a sit n go? | If you notice people who may be in cahoots with each other, you can easily inform the poker room. They will then check to see if those players often play with each other and go through their play.
I have been playing online for almost 2 years now and in that time I can probably count on one hand the times something has seemed out of the ordinary between two players.
At higher limits there may be more people trying to corrupt the system I don't know, but the lower limit cash games are easily beatable if you put time into studying the game.
Even if someone were trying to manipulate the game, there is an element of luck and no straight formula to "win" at poker. You can still catch top set while they have second set and take all their money. People seem to be afraid of bots but even a bot can be beaten. There is always a counterstrategy to any player's or table's perceived play.

One of my stolen card numbers was used at a Rio de Janiero gas station for two < $3 charges. | I would think anyone wanting to use a card for theft would at least get a full tank...

The fuel isn't important and in all likelihood they'd rather save the credit line for more meaningful fraudulent purchases. This is all per the fraud protection department at Chase. Quote: |

2. a sit n go is a tournament that starts whenever a table fills. A single table SNG will start when 9 players are ready... Multi-table sit n go's (MTT SNG) will fill when there are 18, 27, 36, ... 180 people ready to play... Just depends on the size of the table. These differ from scheduled tournaments in that there is no set starting time... they "go" whenever enough people "sit"...

If this is a big concern for you, then don't play online. I personally am not overly that concerned about it but I've never been in a situation where I suspected it. I play mostly cash games and if I did suspect something, I'd just leave the table and find another. |

One of my stolen card numbers was used at a Rio de Janiero gas station for two < $3 charges. | I know this is off topic, but I ride a motorcycle. It only holds 4.2 gallons of gas. Back in the spring I made a 1600 mile trip over 4 days. Needless to say, I made a lot of stops for gas, and only charged $6-9 at a time every approx 160-200 miles. Credit card company calls me to notify me my card is being used fraudulently. Took forever to explain to them that it was me making all those charges.
