Chips: 5,913 | | | I love college kids who play poker (I used to be one of them) log on to FTP tonight.....and there are 33,000 people online at 12:00 AM EST. That is more people than I have seen in the 2 months I have been playing on there.
They had 12 full ring 3/6 limit games going at one point. And the play was so bad I thought I was back on Party. I of course set down on 6 of them and made a tidy little profit (aided greatly by a freaking unbelievable run of cards and a bunch of juice monkeys that kept adding to every pot).
I started thinking...why are there so many people on right now? And then I realized that about half of the colleges in the US just finished exams and everyone is on their holiday break. So all of these bored college kids (like I used to be) are sitting at mom and pops so they fire up FTP and throw some money at me. I hope maybe some players that left after Party are coming back and will be back for good, because I would hate to lose those ATMs that I sat with tonight.
Moral of the story: If you play poker online (especially limit and NL hold'em) and you aren't playing on FTP over the next couple of weeks, you are missing the gravy train. Get yourself a big bonus and some rakeback and join the fun.
(I sound like an FTP shill but I was just too excited to see all of those juicy games ) |

Since the ban, I had been just doing without online poker. Well, I just put my first deposit in at PokerStars (and scrounged up an old PC). I logged on Sunday night for the first time and there were a whopping 74,000 players online at 9pm EST. Wow.
I guess a bunch of PartyPoker players went there as well, as play is pretty bad there too. Great time to be alive.... |

LOL...I'm referring to the whole "law issue". Are you guys having any problems depositing from a credit card into those accounts? Are the credit card companies actually stopping those transactions? |

I've always used Neteller but we'll see what happens in a few months. |

Chips: 5,913 | | | Re: I love college kids who play poker (I used to be one of them) pretty much all credit card companies stopped making transactions to poker sites a almost 2 years ago. But A-Ro is right you can still use e-wallets like Click-2-Pay, Neteller, e-Passporte (takes 2 weeks to set up an e-Passporte account so plan accordingly), and MyCitadel.
There is some concern that Neteller may stop servicing US citizens for poker sites when the regs are written, but for now they are still working.
I've heard good and bad things about both Click-2-Pay and MyCitadel, but both have been around for awhile and should be safe way to move your money. I think the main complaint is that their customer service is not as good as Neteller's, but that would probably change if they gained a lot more marketshare if Neteller leaves the market. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
