they should make ultra-turbo sngs

so i play a lot of sngs, b/c i have a wife and kid, and it works for me. i know i can get in and out of a turbo in < 45 minutes (worst case).

but i don't always have 45 minutes.

what if they made sngs with 5 minute rounds, regular starting stacks, and blinds starting at 50/100. it would cut off 3 levels, and making the length more like 25-30 minutes.

...would you play 'em?

i would...i'd play a ton of them.

Royal Vegas Poker has turbo sngs. Starting stacks T1500, I think the first level is 15/30, 3 minute levels. Of course they banned US players.

I quite like the idea of the super charged SNG's, although I don't remember taking 45 minutes to finish a single table turbo tourney before. 30 maybe. I probably don't last as long as you do on average. Hell, I can get in and out of a sng in under a minute.

The play money 50000 buy-in single table SNGs at poker stars usually take 1-1.5 hours, they aren't turbos though. Yes, that's right, I only play in the play money games, but at least I've made it to the highest level of the play money SNGs

I've had some very good game playing those types of buy-ins on Stars. Probably better than some of the real money games I've played.

As for the Ultra Turbo S&Gs my first ever S&G win came in a turbo at Poker Room when I mistakingly entered thinking it was a regular S&G but you might want to change the name to Crap-Shoot rather than S&G.

UB does a Turbo S&G with 5 minute rounds, 1500 starting stacks and 10-20 starting blinds. They also have an ultra turbo with 2.5 minute rounds and everything else is the same.

I'm just not a big fan of Turbo S&Gs, I'd be better off playing Blackjack.
