You can end up with even less than 3/4 of the pot but still a monster hand...
| True, but if 3 or more players you are still making more money even if you get less than 3/4 of the pot.
Omaha H/L can really suck sometimes. I once had Ad Kd Ks 2s and flop comes Kh 3d 7d giving me top set, nut flush draw and nut low draw. The turn blanks but the river counterfeits my low so I end up chopping against someone with A25x. |

Another wheel (player holding 2/3) is not the nut. It is a low, but not the nut low. The nut is the Straight Flush Wheel.
Therefore, I can't see how the low gets quartered. |

The wheel is the nut low, flush or str8 do not count for low. It does not matter if wheel is same suit or not, they all tie. |

need to expand my poker brain away from HE... | The Lee Jones one is good for limit split pot games like Stud8 or O8 (aka O h/l). Capelleti? also has one out for O8 but I've not read it but he seems to take a different tack on the game than lee jones from some aspects; so I've heard. |

need to expand my poker brain away from HE... | I'm a big fan of both Super System books. Both are well put together with some great theory on O8, HL, R, and 7CS. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
