Hero: ???? | All though Georgie711 could be a maniac, you would have to assume AA or KK. I'd fold.

Has he been limping and folding the last few hands, did he lose a big pot on the previous hand, has he folded every hand in the last orbit, etc. I'm assuming you've seen him play a few hands at least.
IMO, flip a coin. He could be pushing to steal the pot with junk, pushing with a mid. pair and doesn't want a caller, pushing with a big hand (AA/KK) and hoping someone thinks he has a marginal hand and doesn't want a caller. In absence of any information, call if you're a gambler and fold if you are cautious. |

Chips: 1,109 | | | Re: need some help with this hand .. QQ SB I won't comment specifically on this hand...just had my own QQ tourney thread this morning...there's so many ways to look at it. But, wanted to share another QQ story-
At a $300 WSOP Circuit event, roughly halfway through the field. Someone at our table folded QQ after an early position standard raise and a caller. As the hand played out, the caller had QQ and got knocked out. Many at the table were amazed that the guy folded QQ there. Most of those people weren't around to see the guy finish in 2nd the next day.
They say its not just about the big pots you win or the bad beats, but the hands you lay down sometimes even if it may be a great hand (or even best at the time).
At that same table, I was a big stack and layed down 88 to a short stack (but not terribly short) that had moved all-in. The short stack ended up showing 77. While it would have been a great call on my part (and assuming it held up), it wasn't necessarily a bad laydown. Now, I don't claim to always lay down hands I should have. I can list plenty where I probalby should have (regardless of the result).
But when its all said and done, this is a game of imperfect information. You'll never know for sure exactly what's going on...and neither do your opponents. So, no matter what you do, right or not, that doesn't mean it will work out the way you expect it to. |

In a tournament, you have a real decision but the chipstacks will be your main determination. I've been in that exact situation, felt I had to call given the players and the fact that I wouldn't be crippled if I lost and watched them both turn over broadway aces. One with AQ and one with AJ. No ace came and I stacked two fools. I knew they were fools going into the hand though, not unknown.

The original raiser is opening with a standard raise 4XBB +1 for the poster do you have a range for his ep hands? I'd say AK,AQ,maybe AJ, 99+. What about the reraiser a range for him? Is he tilting, or lost a lot of showdowns lately? |

Looking back at PT his stats were VP$IP 60 with only 10 hands played (hense no read). He only made 1 PF reise and that was this hand. |

If he had AA or KK I' don't think he'd push to take down a small pot, I'd call and go all-in on the flop. Hope to get more money in the pot. I'd put him on 8's, 9's or 10's. or AK
