Bottom set, or weak trips with no kicker on a flushed board or an obvious straight against other made hands. By the action of the hand, it was apparent I was beat. And in the few cases I remember, I was in fact beat.
Easy to get away from, because you don't stick yourself in the hand by chasing it much past the flop if you don't spike it, or can limp to the turn with the correct value.
Just about any set on the flop, without a clearly coordinated flop, I'm going to get a lot of checks in.
But yes, if I'm beat, I'll get away from it, but it's such a rare hand to be beat with (in Hold'em). Like I said earlier, I think I can remember 2 times this happened.
Actually, 3 now that I think about it. But the first time was one of my biggest blunders in the game. I had a set of 3's which I got away from that would have in fact taken the pot down. Totally misplayed it, stuck myself in the hand, then folded on the river with 2 all ins in front of me (both of which I had covered), which resulted in an absolute MONSTER pot in a 5/5 NL game.
