Just won myself a seat for a $30+R WPT tournament, but have unregistered to save the W$ because I can't play a long tournament again tonight.

Has anyone played in this tournament before? My concern is that I'll be playing my original entry, and will be at a severe disadvantage since there's no way I'm going to rebuy or add-on for $30.

Furthermore, if I don't play in the $30 tournament, is there another tournament I should be playing in to make the most out of these tournament dollars?

To all those people who think the low-limit satellites are fishy, I have never played in one that looked like this:


144 entries, 222 rebuys, 70 add-ons.

(Remember, this is a $30 buy-in, rebuy, and add-on...)

Even with people winning entries through a satellite, that's just crazy.

Well, here we go again...

Just qualified again for another $30+$3... that's 2 in 2 days, and I'm up to 60 W$.

Maybe I should just keep playing these for a year and buy my way in!

i've played this one several times, but for the WSOP main event rather than the PCA.

you're absolutely correct in assuming that you'll be at a disadvantage if you're not willing to rebuy / add-on.

i've been watching some of the PCA sats, and 9 times out of 10 it only pays one seat. tough proposition to say the least. when the wsop sats used to run, each of the $33+R games would pay 2-3 seats (i got 6th once for $650 ).

if you can rack up ~ $120 $W, i'd say give it a shot. the PCA package is one of the best out there, and even if you bust out of the event on the first day you can still spend a week at a casino in the bahamas!
