Smile Finished my PSO free nevada jacks promo!

I finished my PSO free 300 nevada jacks promo on sunday and today I let them know that I met my points minimum at FullTilt.

Within a few hours, PSO let me know that they had confirmed my eligibility and supposedly my poker chip shipment has been sent to fulfillment.

It took me three weekends to earn the points, at about 4 hours a weekend. I'm also up by slightly over $10.

I think I'll cash out $50 and use it to try to get 300 more free NJs by completing the promotion at bodog. I think it'll take me three times as long though, because bodog is stingy on points compared to FullTilt.

Re: Finished my PSO free nevada jacks promo!

I've received two sets of them. Unfortunately they had an unintended side effect - I can no longer consider Nevada Jacks for my customs.

I LOVE the feel of the chips, but there were large swings in print quality present in the two sets I received. Some chips were clear, some were blurry. There were noticeable colour variances - the $5 chip colours were dramatically different between the two sets.

But PSO was spectacular, shipping was prompt, and in all other respects the process was ideal. Can't recommend it highly enough.

A huge bonus was not having to pay additional fees because I live in Canada. The sets shipped frmo Quebec!

Re: Finished my PSO free nevada jacks promo!

Just wanted to follow up on my own post. Recently pulled these out to actually play a game. Tons of spinners. Like about 50% were not flat, 12% spin somewhat, while 3% were major spinners like tops.

I had expected that these ceramic blanks would be as flat as injection moded chips. They still stack, but the stacks wobble (but don't fall so much without a sharp jar to the table).

Normal?

Re: Finished my PSO free nevada jacks promo!

I just got my Desert Sands ones. I'm gonna break'em out in their first game likely this weekend. I'm interested to see how mine compare to your results.

Re: Finished my PSO free nevada jacks promo!

I also meant to ask you about FullTilt... what kind of cash did you start out with? What stakes were you playing?

Cheers!

I played the $0.05/$0.10 no limit ring games for the first two weekends, and I seriously believe that you could easily finish the promo like this with maybe 16 hours of play. But I ended up switching to $0.50/$1.00 and earned well over the points that I needed. I depositied the minimum $100. You really don't get that many more points playing higher stakes, because the max rake is $3 for 3 points with a $60 pot. You get 1 point if a pot gets up to $20.

As long as a pot gets up to $1 you will get .05 points. Even playing the $0.05/$0.10 nolimit, the pot will usually get up this high. With 9 players at the table, as long as each pot gets up to $1, you will make .45 points per orbit, and it'll only cost you $0.15 for each .45 points. To get your 250 points, you would need to play 555 orbits (5000 hands) and lose $83 if you just folded. This in theory would take 83 hours at 60 hands per hour. Of course 50% of the pots are going to get higher than $1, which is why it won't take you this long or cost you this much even if you just fold. You will also have $10 in deposit bonus released at this point, for a net loss of $73 if you just fold.

The key to earning points is to play ring games with max players at the table.
