Chips: 1,318 | | | Thank you for the $350, PP! Goodbye! I just got a bit of good luck from Party Poker. Prior to the passing of the U.S. legislation in the Ports Act banning money transfers from U.S. banks to online gambling sites, I had been an active Party Poker player. I had played in numerous $5 SNG's and in one, had won the table and a qualification into their nightly free rolls. I did okay in the freeroll, no money, but well enough that I made it into the final number of participants to win a entry into the weekly Sunday $100,000 Monster freeroll. Again, I didn't money, but did well enough to win an entry into the Montly Monster Million freeroll... Well, I got busy with work for about a month and a half and low and behold, the U.S. legislation is passed. PP announces they will no longer allow U.S. transfers.. I decide I better use my freeroll and log in to find that they are no longer doing the Monthly Monster Million tournaments. They cancelled them after the legislation was passed. I still have an unused entry so I call up their support line. They direct me to a hidden link on their site where I can "convert" my freeroll into cash....
I never felt I had a chance of moneying in the 4000 player final tournament, so I was happy to get whatever cash amount PP would convert my entry to... I was expecting maybe $50... $100 tops.. Well, it came out to $350! That's the biggest cash win I have had yet playing online poker and it wasn't even from a game. I was happy to cash out and close my PP account.
I will now transer that money over to P* to fund my SNG and weekly CT tourney action. Thanks PP and adios! |

Jason | I hope you are joking. It's bad enought having folks always beg in the chat box of the tables, but now people are going to come here asking for money. |

I would be thrilled in your spot too, but as a guy who they raked about $400 off of for that stupid freaking Jackpot I was pissed as all hell. Not because I didn't get any money back (although that didn't make me happy) but because party paid out less than half of that 13 million jackpot that they ripped everyone off for.
Someone over on 2+2 ran the math and there are several million dollars oustanding after the payouts, which means Party just pocketed the cash. All I can say is good riddance Party my rake is going elsewhere......
but I don't mean to sound sore at you D...good job at the cash, and don't underestimate your ability in that sunday weekly tourney. The fields were pretty weak. |

PP probably happily embraced the opportunity of freezing out the Monthly Monster Million tournaments mid-stride due to the U.S. legislation to pocket all that rake money. Screw them. I'm just happy I could take away more money from them than I gave them in the end. |

This has to be the flattest tournament payout structure ever... | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
