I usually kill at the live rebuy tournaments (without making a rebuy) but online, I think they're a complete crapshoot. I don't particularily like them, but the prize pools are very attractive. Does anybody have any good advice?

So a few thoughts on this... to me how you handle this depends on the type of rebuy... if its unlimited rebuys for a specific period you are going to see a lot of loose play. You can either do the same and play a loose or play extremely tight and wait for the rebuy period to be over. If its online thats how I usually play it... aka let the idiots get out and then get focused. If its live play I usually play a bit looser but not huge... I will have more of a tendency to play connectors, suited cards and ace rags during this time but my after flop play then has to be pretty solid cause you could have anything out there!
If the rebuy is a limited # (aka you get one or two) then I usually just play my regular game but watch closer for the short stacks and figure thats gotta be my hands starting value or I can't play it.. aka lets say I have AQ and the blinds are at 200/400 but the short stack is sitting with 2500 in chips left. I know that a regularly I might raise 3 to 3.5x the bb or to $1200 but I know that if shortstack has anything he is likely to push all his 2500 in... so I always view my playable hands as "is this worth me playing it out for 2500." That way I dont get caught with a raise and not wanting to call his 2500 or worse yet forced to call cause your invested or have pot odds and can really get out.
Also one thing I watch on the other end of this spectrum is if I have less than the rebuy amount ( rebuy is for half the starting stack say 5000 in chips)! If I have 20% less of the chip amount I would get with the rebuy I become a player from the school of OAATC (overly aggressive any two cards) because I will either catch a hand and double up or I will get busted and end up with more 20 plus percent more chips than I just had... especially if the rebuy perdiod is coming to an end. Speaking of which... if its near the end and you are in good chip position again you have to tighten up due to the fact that all the short stacks are gonna be playing to either bust out and rebuy or double up.
I dont know if that helps any but thats my general strategy...
I like rebuys, especially in live play. I may be in the minority here but I just like them. I loosen up and play hyperaggressive, not the maniac though. You want a alot of chips at your table when the rebuy period is over and you then tighten up play your game and talk all those chips.
Straight from Phil Gordon's LGB - (not quoted) In a rebuy tournament you need to be ready to go back into your wallet to rebuy.
Maybe not as many times as Daniel Negreanu - reported 27 rebuys in a $1000 NLHE tournament. He finished second for a $7x,xxx profit.
