1malt | Absolutely. You can find DD2 pretty cheap now at any game store (probably around $10-$15. The AI in dd2 is significantly improved and highly customizable. I use it to model my home game. They still have the poker clock feature, and they've improved on that too. Its a lot more visible now. The best feature that was added was the peer-to-peer networking. The various players host public games that are posted on the dd website, or you can create a private game. Playing for real$ during my office hours isn't really an option, so a buddy of mine and I usually play against eachother on DD. The community of players is really friendly. ...for the most part. Most of them are decent players, take the game seriously, and play seriously despite there being no real stakes.

Yep. I don't get that attitude myself. If the player posting really is a weaker player, then don't you want them to welcome them into the poker community? That's where our profits come from right? Apparently most of the posters at 2+2 haven't heard the proverb, "Don't tap on the aquarium."

Mainly here and PSO. I check 2 + 2 once or twice a month. Also pokerbay and HPT. I also check out a local site, poker604 daily. |
