but everywhere I go I hear people say and think it's outright illegal to play online. | | Sponsored Links | |

If you want my money, you’re gonna have to sit down a look at me (as painful as that may be)
P.S. The poll doesn't include a vote for "never really played much on-line to begin with" |

I've been looking for a new place to play, but I'll probably wait for a bit as things settle down. There's too much on my plate right now as it is. My biggest concern is where will the fish go? Not having Neteller and Firepay as easy conduits for funding an online poker account will leave many fish and casual players on the rail. Its likely that only the more devoted players will go through the extra work to find and use an alternative funding mechanism. This means that the online game will get tougher. I'm not saying that the micro- and low-limit games will be unprofitable for a typical skilled player, but the profits won't be as large, and they'll be harder to obtain. So for now, I'll lay low and see how things develop. Once its clear where the softest games are, I'll be there.

i will continue to play online. i don't anticipate being completely locked out by inability to get funds in and out. there are smart people out there who will make it easy for us to do what we need to do, and if that fails then snail mail is still a viable option.
i don't think P* is going anywhere, and even if they did decide to stop allowing US-based players, it's not like they're going to close up shop and take my money. similarly, even when neteller stops allowing gambling transactions, we will still be allowed to withdraw any funds we have placed with them. and pokerstars will still send you a check for your withdrawls.
online poker isn't going away, and neither am i. many fish will leave and the overall level of play will increase (IMO), but until it becomes impossible, you can find me at P*.
