Re: Will you stop?

I have stopped for now and will wait to see how this all plays out. I took my money out just to be sure. If everyone still is playing a while from now I may get back in if I can.

Re: Will you stop?

Online poker is 100% legal. Why would I stop?

I sat on a $15/30 game last night on FTP for about 6 hours. (in between diaper changings) and plan on doing the same thing tonight.

Re: Will you stop?

I will continue to play. Eventually the U.S. Government will find a way to get their "cut".

It amazes me how we can have instant lottery vending machines sell instant tickets with horrible odds to minors but not allow adults play online poker....

Re: Will you stop?

I'll play as long as P* let's me. I really only keep that account alive to play in the Thursday CT tournaments. If P* shuts down, I will withdraw my money and be done. I much prefer live play, and I'll step up the regularity of my home games if P* caves.

The choices are probably going to be made for us---choices we didn't vote on.
There always is the options of sending money order by snail mail to the sites.

Re: Will you stop?

Online poker has never really been my thing. I much prefer live, in person games. I don't think it will be hard for me to give up what little online poker I indulge in.

Re: Will you stop?

i prefer to play live also, but it's simply not convenient enough for me to get in the games i want to play where i live.

i will continue to play online. i don't anticipate being completely locked out by inability to get funds in and out. there are smart people out there who will make it easy for us to do what we need to do, and if that fails then snail mail is still a viable option.

i don't think P* is going anywhere, and even if they did decide to stop allowing US-based players, it's not like they're going to close up shop and take my money. similarly, even when neteller stops allowing gambling transactions, we will still be allowed to withdraw any funds we have placed with them. and pokerstars will still send you a check for your withdrawls.

online poker isn't going away, and neither am i. many fish will leave and the overall level of play will increase (IMO), but until it becomes impossible, you can find me at P*.
