They also don't want a gambling scandal to happen. Fantasy was protected because people can gamble on it, but don't care about the outcome of games.

The NFL also refused to show ads for the NBC show Las Vegas which aired Monday nights up until last year. NBC wanted to show lots of ads Sunday for the Monday show and the NFL wouldn't allow it.
The NFL put a clause in the contract with NBC that forbids the mention of Las Vegas.

NBC moved the show to Friday nights so they could better advertise it.
