However, if you did just raise and there were calls, I'd say it's mandatory on that flop. Why slowplay now? You've got a good pot and giving anybody with a lesser ace all kinds of reasons to make a bad call.

Whoever posted that someone was telling him to fold this needs to look up the definition of fold equity. He meant that pushing with AKs pre-flop has a good chance of folding everyone else, and if you are called you are usually at worst 43% or so.
On a hand like AKs, you really don't WANT to see a flop. You don't have a hand yet, even that guys crappy 2s are even money against you. Raise hard PF (all in) and take down whats out there. If you get called and race, so be it.
Now, if I had AA in this situation, I may be more inclined to just raise 3-4x BB PF to have a better shot at getting one caller, then drop all in on the flop regardless of what comes and hope for the best.
Either way, your money needs to go in PF in this situation and you need to try to understand why trying to switch up your play in this specific spot was horrible. |

I know a lot of people have a problem with the preflop call, but I don't. If someone had raised, then I'd be more inclided to push. With limpers, I don't see the big deal of just calling. If you miss, you have nothing invested and can get away. If an ace comes, chances are you can double up. |

raise the flop to 1,600 or so. if there's another ace out there, you're going to get the action you want. you'll probably get a call from 2 clubs as well. if someone moves in on you, great - you're almost certainly ahead. if the club hits the turn and someone makes a move, you can evaluate (you're not committed, but very close).
in general, i'm not slowplaying top 2 in a 4 way pot with a flush draw on board. especially when the pot is already a nice prize after the flop bet.
as for the 22 guy, he called 400 on the flop getting about 6:1 (terrible play), but its common to see people take one off for cheap if they think the bettor is weak. no way he's calling a bet on the turn or a raise from you on the flop.

At this point in the tournament I'm willing to race for all my chips. I stopped playing to just sneak into the cash a while ago, I'm playing for the win every time now.
I knew I had played this hand horribly and wanted to get more opinions on how to play AK at this point in the tournament with an M < 10. |

We can check here for deception (no one checks the BB holding AK) and get our money in hitting either pair. We can muck if we whiff.
Now, if you want to try to trap on the flop, you MUST push the turn. Don't wait for the river. I personally don't trap w/T2P, too many ways to get trapped yourself.
