Re: want an ace?

In my defence... I don't play omaha... so don't laugh at me to hard... I just wanted to share the AAA with you all.

Re: want an ace?

ya shades I was playing another table and posting here at the time... just killing time on a freeroll... Straight Flush, I have not seen anything like that for a while... I feel like a cooler.

I've had that hand before but it was PLO8 where its playable in position and as a bluff; in LO8 or Omaha Hi its useless.

In PL, pot it in MP/LP preflop and pot the flop regardless of what flops if heads up. If someone calls your flop bet, you are probably screwed. I should add that I'm not advocating this approach but its a fun hand to play especially if you win the pot and show the cards. Definitely worth a screenshot though. Over 56k hands of O8, I've had quads 5 times (A,K,Q,7,2)

Re: want an ace?

str8edge - you needed a board like this.... you'd killed them with 5 aces... Note: I busted out of the tourny the hand before this hit -- you can see my comments in the chat window

Re: want an ace?

For sure that is a nice hand/s...

Last year at one of our games the flop was AAA the turn A river rag below a ten is all I remember... everybody starts to laugh and say ya split pot, so they check to me I go all in... the pot is big before this I assume pocket pairs floped a boat... everyone calls me and I show the K.... it was classic, we don't play to serious and I am sure I could have/should have played it different but it is sure fun to see the look of shock on peoples faces!!

Re: want an ace?

I dont have a pick but i've gotten quad 2's before playing omaha at P*'s. I've given omaha up for a while after a long bad night of it, but I can definitely understand the irony. I'm not even sure if there is a worse starting hand then quad 2's in omaha, considering the math if several people are playing, i'd imagine its down right impossible to win with.

i ditch a set... what are you going to improve to? another set with the case card? maybe a boat?... sets and quads are junk. when you can only play two cards from your undercards.

i'm just saying, getting quad 2's is equally if not more frustrating than quad aces.
