My first 48 hours with Party Poker and a question about PSO certificats

I'm hoping i didn't screw up but i'm assuming that once you've cleared your deposit bonus you've played enough raked hands to get your PSO points right? Anyways i managed to finish it all in one sitting of about 3 1/2 hours sitting at 2 10 man .25/.50 NL tables. Unfortunately by the time i'd cleared the deposit bonus i was down $100, luckily my deposit bonus made up $80 of that. It's been awhile since i've played online and forgot the cardinal rule, expect the unexpected (can't tell you how many times i got sucked out on, runner runner flushes and straights). Had some big swings (hovered between 300-390 for hours) but managed to get all of my $400 deposit back and a little more (that plus my 9000 PSO points i hope). Part of the big run at the end involved this miracle river card, not sure of the odds but i'm sure i've got to lose this hand at least 95% of the time.

Can't help but wonder if i could have gotten him to call enough to go all in. I should have re-re-raised him for more but wanted to make sure i got myself to at least 400 since i was ready to quit. Felt for him but after some of the beats i'd taken over the last couple days i forgot about it real quick heh. On a side note i couldn't help but wonder how nice it would have been if the turn had been a jack and the river a king so we could have hit the bad beat jackpot (i know there were 3 announcements about winners of the last 2 days, all paid out over $100K if i'm remembering right).

On a side note once you have enough for say a $100 Party Poker certificate can you just redeem it and cash it out or do you have to play it there or play a certain amount of hands before you can release it? Figured i should ask now since i'm pretty curious heh. Oh and does party ever send out reload offers?

Re: My first 48 hours with Party Poker and a question about PSO certificats

If you buy Party GC with your PSO bonus you have to play 25% or 50 raked hand minimum before you cash out. In the past Party has let that slide but they seem to be more rigid regarding that condition now. The best bet is to buy a Absolute Poker GC, there is no condition to cashing out and also AP GC minimum is $50 vs $100.

Also Bad beat Jackpot at Party only applies if you are playing on the bad beat table and the last time I was there it also needed quad8's or better being beat.

Party sends out reload bonus fairly often. I just cleared a 15% to $100 bonus, needed 10x.

Re: My first 48 hours with Party Poker and a question about PSO certificats

Thanks for the info uh dad, lol too funny. But seriously thanks for the info, i'd heard that some places bad beat jackpots start at A's full; i also had no idea you had to be in a certain room as well.

Quick question though, what's "GC" short for in "AP GC minimum"?

Re: My first 48 hours with Party Poker and a question about PSO certificats

ok, so you had three live jacks, which is 7%.

you had a 7% chance of winning on the river. he probably pays you off, if you had bet even bigger. he was obviously trying to milk you, like you were him.

with six or eight, you chop, so 14% of a tie on the river.

so, he was a 79% favorite to win going into the river.

AP = Absolute Poker
GC = Gift Certificate

You can use your PSO points to buy AP GC's in $50 increments or Party GC's in $100 increments. At Absolute you can cash out right away without any restrictions. At Party you have to 25% or 50 rake hands before you can cash out.

Someone sent me money on party and I tried to cashout (not knowing about this rule). So they locked my account(completely unnecessary, they should have simply moved the money back to my account and informed me that I need to play 50 rakes hands). So I had to go through the trouble of sending ID in and everything....basically just if someone xfers you money on party make sure you play some hands before trying to cashout.
