Playing in a SnG with HanahanStan last night, I caught this flop out of the
SB.





Post flop I check, BB checks, seat 2 makes it 200 to go. I pause for a good 20 seconds and call, BB calls. Turn comes 5d, I check, BB checks, seat 2 bets out 200 again. I call, BB folds. Rivers comes 9h. I check, seat 2 bets 600 and change to put me all in...I call w/ Quad A's, he shows KK for the boat. He did not raise w/ KK preflop.

His loss. He might have taken the pot from you right there. You played it well, though. You raise anywhere, and you might scare him into thinking you had the case ace.

Unfortunately, for him, short of putting you all in, that hand is nearly impossible to get away from... the only cards that beats him is an ace, and the only way he gets it mucked is if he raises pre-flop, which he failed to do before the trips aces fell...

trips + pair = boat
quads + pair = destroyer?
