Currently, I'm playing at P* (same screen name) and alternate between NLHE (my current choice) and PLO8. I stuck in the micro's (.10/.25 or .25/.50) till I get my bankroll back up. I'd find that when I play too much Omaha, I tighten up too much when I play HE. I have to remember that the nuts usually are NOT out in this game. | | Sponsored Links | |

PS .25/.50 cent long handed are full of passive players and will be easy to grind out money. Check raising on those tables will take down pot after pot with or without a hand. PS is one of my go to sites but I take turns back and fourth with Ub. I hate Party Poker by the way. Just stay with those tables for a while and make some easy cash. |

He "considered it a beta" in april and AFAIK hasn't changed it.
edit: rereading it, I don't play quite that LAG... I'm cold calling a lot of things he's 3betting and I'm chucking more stuff. Hmm... I wonder. Just remember that the more aggressive you are in 6max, the higher your variance. The trick is to balance variance against winrate and find your comfort zone. Full rinig players tend to decrease variance too much to become truly profitable at 6max.

I converted to 6-max two months ago in order to clear a PSO bonus (needed more hands/hour and I'm too much of a wuss/no bankroll to multitable much). And at SunPoker there were never any full tables available. Been reading up a little at 2+2 and around the net. I like it because I think it hones your game, due to the increased number of marginal decisions you must make (and take advantage of if you want to be profitable). Also, it's fun to run PT and just pick on the 1 or 2 guys who can't help but put money in the pot every hand. I'm still working on feeling I can beat the 1/2 game though....my bankroll doesn't really support it but I need to play those limits to clear my bonuses. |

I deposited $100, quickly realized I'd have to play 1/2 to clear the bonus, ran it up to $350 in a week (yay variance!), whittled it back down to $100 in two more weeks (variance sucks), and cleared the bonus a month later with $200. Of course, they gave me $100 for my initial deposit bonus, so 7 weeks and ~4000 hands won me 0 dollars based on my expert play. But I know I'm getting better and I know a bunch of the players at Sun (and especially at Paradise) really want to give me their money. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
