O8 - played 8 handed is slightly different than a 10 handed table.
Do NOT change starting hand reqs - tight is still right, but you will have fewer flush vs flush hands and may not need the nut low to split the pot.
The players will probably dictate the proper action. More often, calling that one bet with a poor low and the T high flush will pay you off at least one way.
You may also be able to get more aggressive in position with weaker hands. This is a feel thing - but people who do not play this game often enough do not adjust to short handed play very well. If I am the cutoff and nobody has entered the pot yet, my raising criteria goes way down, especially if I hold and A. Again, do not loosen up the starting hand requirements, but try playing a hand like A39J (one suit) more aggressively from the button or cutoff. |

Seems like KKLL might be a playable hand, as there's very little PFRing but only because people are overvaluing lower pocket pairs.

I can live with this. | It didn't last.
After about 2hrs, just +$20; better than a sharp stick in the eye as the old man used to say. |

Don't forget, h/l games can have wicked per-session variance.

Actually I don't know how I did in Razz, PTS apparently doesn't read these hand histories yet. |

I only own PT holdem, I see that I can get the others for $100 as a pair.

I only own PT holdem, I see that I can get the others for $100 as a pair. | I've owned PTO and PTH for awhile but I just downloaded PTS today. Its good for 1k hands for free. A different HH file is written for each game at the table. There is some discussion on the PT forums as to how it should handle HORSE tournaments as there are currently 3 different products for all the games yet the tournament summaries can/should only be loaded into 1 of them.
PA doesn't seem to work on the HORSE tables though. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
