Chips: 1,861 | | | A different tournament on 'stars It's a modified structure, $5.50 buyin so I figured I'd try it. Not really a deepstack but a much slower structure:
Starting stacks 2500, 30 minute levels (!) and blinds start at 25/50. Antes start at 150/300/25.
Tournament number 29939378 if anyone wants to look at it. I hope this is a test-run for more, higher buyin tournaments like this in the future. 30 minute levels mean that there's lots of manuvering room.
Heh, even though these people don't have to rush in this tournament, they still are. 30 minutes in, only 452/662 left. Dummies.

Chips: 840 | | | Re: A different tournament on 'stars i believe this is a test of a couple of the WCOOP events that are going to use this structure.
i agree that even though the blinds start 2 levels ahead of normal, the extra time (and chips) more than makes up for that. i played the $8 one the other night. about a thousand entries. got bored and careless and finished out of the money.

Chips: 1,861 | | | Re: A different tournament on 'stars I like it. 1h42 minutes in and I'm sitting 2/3 of avg. at the 100/200 level I got microstacked w/1500 chips but had plenty of time to pick and choose hands. 171/662 remaining, these donks just don't know how to be patient... they push with the weirdest stuff in spots where a push is way out of line.
As tight as I am, this format suits me GREAT.

Sounds just like my cup of tea (or bottle of beer) as I am not a "turbo" kind of guy. |
