NETeller charging for deposits??

Hey, I didn't have time yesterday to check for myself, but I was told that NETeller is now charging like 8.7% or something for deposits into poker accounts?? Anyone have any experience with this? Is this true?

Re: NETeller charging for deposits??

To my knowledge, they have always charged the "8.7% processing fee".

Re: NETeller charging for deposits??

I've never paid a fee using Neteller. Always try to use the InstaCash option. When that option isn't available I do a pull from the Poker Room in question and they then pick up the fee.

Re: NETeller charging for deposits??

If deposit directly with Neteller using instacash, they charge a fee. If you choose InstaCash from the poker site of interest, they will usually cover it. EFT's deposits are free but take a few days to clear.

My understanding unless things have changed recently.

Re: NETeller charging for deposits??

If you do an EFT (electronic funds transfer), there is no charge. Meaning that you have sufficient funds in your neteller account.

If you are using Neteller without having money in the account and trying to pull directly from your bank account to the poker room, you have to use Instacash. Instacash has a charge of 8.7% which many of the poker rooms will pay for themselves. Some of them don't though and you will have to pay the fee.

I think Full Tilt and a couple of others you will get charged. UltimateBet I know you will not get charged. If you never use Instacash you won't have to worry about it.

Re: NETeller charging for deposits??

I just logged on the NT site to check and don't see any recent policy changes to this effect.

They key with NT is to always do the pull from the merchant site rather than initiating transfers at NT.

Re: NETeller charging for deposits??

hmmmmmm, so the EFT transactions are still free?? Cool.

I had a feeling this guy didn't know exactly what he was talking about, but I forgot to go out to the site and check it myself last night...
