40k hands are definitely enough to start spotting leaks but it's not statistically significant when trying to determine absolutes like, "Am I a winning player?" It can be used for things like, "Am I folding on the river too much?"
When you post screenshots you really only need the "player summary" section. Those numbers are what people will need to discuss. I use irfanview to crop/resize screenshots. You can drag that window larger to show all of the levels you've played. As that shot stands now, we can't see the bulk of the hands.
I'm personally not going to be able to help you with your numbers, I'm a limidonk.
Yes, PT is a horribly complicated program. I probably only use 25% of the thing myself. |
I will work on the database thing.
What exactly are you talking about "player summary" Is this under the "summary" tab or under the "position stats" tab. I am still trying to figure out exactly what to focus on as far as posting a screenshot.
As far as you being a limidonk, I am happy to take advice on Tournys as I love them too. From past posts I take it you have some pretty good experience with the tourney part of PT and are an experienced tourney player.

I have successfull done this a few times, but when I tried to do it just now PT locks up on me so I am not sure exactly what is going on.
Steps:
1) Request hand histories. PT will grab all the hand histories that are in your p* hand histories folder not yet in PT
2) log in to p*
3) Now you need to request for p* to send you the tourney summaries. You can have PT automatically do this for you.
file> auto request tournament summaries > request now (make sure all the ones you want are checked) this will notify p* that you want them to send you an e-mail of all the tournament summaries that are checked
4) Now you need to get this info into PT.
first set up what you want it to do by
File> auto-import hand histories/tourney summ- Generic Setup
then once you have done this
File > import hand histories/tournament summaries
This should do what you want it to, I think.....

to make that section bigger you simply drag it larger, IIRC. For some reason PT won't start right now on my computer (or I'd verify), I'll have to reboot later to use it.

I'll try.....
I'm assuming this allows me to show everything that is within the dropdown that I can't seem to be able to expand to see it all at once.

No matter where I hover my mouse the only place that I get the cross arrow is next to each column to make the columns wider. That is not what I want, I need it be bigger up and down so we can see all the levels at once without using the slider.
I was able to get it all to come up if I hit the print button but it is so faint that if I do a printscreen of that I doubt it would be easy to see...

I don't have PT here but I thought you can highlight a ring game type (row) then click details and it'll give you more info on another screen... I thought this was what he meant?
irfanview just makes it easier to crop it down as so...
can just hit <Print Screen> and open irfanview & paste, then use mouse to make a box, move mouse over box edges to adj and >Edit >Crop Selection (or <Ctrl> + <Y> )

I'm a limidonk too, so I can't help you with where your #'s should be, but plenty of NL guys can help with that.
You might want to black out amount won. We don't need that.
At this point, you can look through the hands you've played for leaks (ie, what the heck did I play 8 2 for?) and use your Position Stats tab to see where you are putting your money in from. UTG should have a pretty low VPIP.
