I saw this one, this morning while I was sweating a .25/.50 game...
guy from America says to the guy from Montreal....'hey how far is Montreal from Quebec?'.....guy from Montreal says, 'about 250km, sir'
it's comments like that, where I have to cringe....sorry uncultured, American guy...Montreal's in Quebec....
anyone else got some glorious banter from online ring games? remember it's not bad plays or bad explanations...no pot odds guy remarks...just questions like, "hey, how far is Cairo from Egypt?" |

Well, what would you say it was, Deuce? Is it cultured to not know that Montreal is the center of the province, Quebec?
if Canadians know Dallas is in Texas and that Los Angeles is in California, why can't Americans know Montreal is in Quebec? It's not advanced geography or vaulted information. I wasn't trying to offend anyone with my post, but it makes me cringe when people publicly exhibit how nieve most Americans are, when it comes to basic information about their neighboring countries. |

well the original comment was 'Quebec', not Quebec City.
we could drop the cultured thing....can we say ignorant....geographically-challenged? |
