I believe Harrington coined it but I'm not 100% sure. Don't know what it stands for, maybe Maneuvering room.

Re: LImit Study hi/lo tourney at P*

Guess I'll have to review HOH.

Thanks again. It's been a major adjustment getting used to this game, but I'm hanging in there.

I think what campcleavage really meant here is that holdem is a game of pushing tiny edges over and over and hi/low "8" games are more about pushing massive edges fewer times.

If not, then a misunderstanding of the theory is being applied.
Your reasoning sounds about right. It's my belief that better players stand to be more profitable in H/L games than in holdem because of that fact

Re: LImit Study hi/lo tourney at P*

One of the participants in today's tourney gave me some insight into the way the round two freerolls at P* work. He advised emailing support to try to get moved. Unfortunately, the tourney started so I couldn't unregister and get my 'ticket' back.

Here's the response that I got from p* support though that explains how the freeroll round 2 system works there for anybody else wondering.
========================================================
Thank you for your email. The Weekly Round 2 tournament format changes every week. Sometimes it's NL hold eM, sometimes stud, sometimes omaha. This week it is limit hold em.

As we don't want all freerolls in a given week to be the same format, it
is actually quite common for the WR2 event you qualify for to be in a
different format to the event you qualified from.

However Weekly Round 2 event entries are "ticket" based. The first time
in a week that you win such a ticket you will be automatically registered
to that Sunday's Weekly Round 2, using your ticket. If you were to visit
the lobby of that Weekly Round 2 event and click "Unregister", your ticket
will be returned to you.

You can view your collection of tickets (if any) from the main menu of the
PokerStars software, under:
"Requests -> Tournament Tickets"
Once you unregister and receive your ticket back, you can use the ticket
to enter any future Weekly Round 2 event. Any Weekly Round 2 tournament will accept a "WR2 Freeroll" ticket as an entry fee.

If you do not wish play in the limit hold em event and would like to
transfer to a different event, just unregister from the one you have
qualified for, and then use the ticket you receive to register for the
subsequent event once registration opens.

Good luck in your Weekly Round 2 events, and thank you for playing on
PokerStars.

Regards,
PokerStars Support Team
