Chips: 1,861 | | | 'stars $3 rebuy strategy OK, I've played these a little bit in the past and had pretty good success, IIRC. I'm playing one right now and we're almost to the end of the rebuy period. Obviously, you can play it like a deepstack tournament after the break, but does anyone have any suggestions for DURING the rebuy period? Here's what I've come up with:
1) Rebuy immediately. Try not to play with fewer than 3000 chips, never play with fewer than 1500. Ditch chips to get below 1500 and rebuy if neccesary on a good table.
2) Pairs are gold. Call/Raise as neccesary and discard to action unless you hit a set.
3) Be willing to get all in on the flop with ANY overpair to the board.
4) Be willing to get all in against one or two opponents *if* it's less than 1/3 your (now inflated) chipstack with ANY OESD or 2nd nut flush draw.
Anyone have any insights? These things are nuts during the rebuy period.
Oh yeah, I'm specifically talking about the $3+$0 satellites into the sunday million but ANY rebuy advice is appreciated.
Oh yeah again... my goal at the end of the rebuy period is 10k chips.

Everyone figures me out within 20 minutes but usually it's too late by then, I've won a race or I'm still sitting on my 3k and they just can't help themselves.
I can't bring myself to LAG it up with total trash, but things like JTo get a open-raise or a call of a normal raise here. That usually makes me one of the two tightest players at the table...
I always take the addon, as I've never had 20k in chips at the break. At what point do you NOT take the addon?

Those guys are pretty damn bad, even an hour past the rebuy period.
Had I connected on my raises (and re-raises), or won my share of races I would have $215 tournament bux.
I'mma be in these some.
P.S. approx 300 runners, exactly 25 $215 and one $145 prizes.
