I was playin a 1-2 NL game on pokerstars I was sitting in early position with JJ I raise the pot to 8$ I get 3 other callers.making the pot 33$.
The flop came Ad, Qs, Jd the first caller checks I put out a feeler bet of 25$ th next guy pushes all in and the 3 others in the pot call making the pot between 650-700. I knew at this point I was up against a straight for sure which didnt bother me.Hands that I was scared of was AA and QQ where id be pretty much drawing dead.As I continued to think about it I figured if I was up against a str8 and another guy had AQ id need the board to pair and even if it did id be beat by a bigger boat.Long story short I fold my set.
The turn and river came 5c, 5d
it turns out that 2 guys had a str8 and the winner of the pot hit his nut flush, if I would have called id have pulled in a monster pot in my standards with a full house anyway.Was I getting good odds to `call less that 3 to 1 any opinions??
what was your stack? If you are pretty sure that AA and QQ are not out there, then you have 7 outs on the turn and 10 on the river.
you are going to make your boat or quads about 35% of the time and have it hold up. Thus so if the pot is laying 2-1 you probably want to call. So if the pot 650 unless you have a stack bigger than 300 you probably want to gamble. If you are less than 200 it isn't even close you should get your money in.
Now if this is a tournament it is totally different. Sure you have pot odds to call but your life is on the line. Since this is cash you can reach for more so go ahead and get in there.

Is this 6-max?
AA/QQ would reraise preflop so you can assume that you're not up against a set of aces/queens.
Board: Ad Qs Jd
Dead:

Hand 1: 34.5791 % 34.12% 00.45% { JJ }
Hand 2: 65.4209 % 64.97% 00.45% { KTs, KTo }
You're a little less than a 2 to 1 dog to a flopped straight.
You said you had 178 back after your $25 bet. Did both of your opponents have you covered?
Assuming they have you covered, there is $464 in the pot before you decide to call or not. So you have to put in $178 to win $464 = ~2.6 to 1
Equity Value:
If you call and lose:
0.654209 x $178 = - 116.45
If you call and win:
0.345791 x $464 = 160.45
Total EV = +44
However, that's only against one opponent. The other opponent is probably not moving in here with anything less than 2 pair, so AQ/AJ.
