My first cash in a $22 large-field tourney, $95. Definitely fewer donkeys near the bubble than the 180 player tournaments but still pretty soft play the whole way through. There were a few players I recognized from 2+2 and a handful that play in $109's and $11 rebuys. I know this because I cruise thepokerdb.com while I'm folding hands.
Cold decked most of the way through but since I play better than I used to a single bad beat doesn't always bust me, I usually have chips afterwards. (I've figured out this is HUGE)
At least I went out with a bang. This is the first hand of 1500/3000/150. I had just given up a steal attempt two hands or so ago. Good player raises 3x in front of me, has me covered. I push my stack of about 5bb in, push behind me from a luckbox. Opener calls.
He shows AKs, I show my KK and the late push shows his AQo. Flop brings Axx, all diamonds. I have one. Turn blank heart, river the case ace.
