Chips: 50 | | | Online Stakes for Pokerstars I was wondering if anyone on this site is interested in starting a section for staking. A "stake" is when one player transfers another player a certain amount of money to play in a tournament, sit n go, or sometimes ring games. After the player has been sent the money and has played in the tournament, if he/she places in the money, the player must send back 50/50 profit plus stakeback. 50/50 + stakeback means that if a player is staked $1.10 to play in a $1 + .10 multitable tournament and the player places in 12th place and wins $12.50, the player must send the initial stake back($1.10) plus half of the winnings($6.25) to the person who staked him/her. Once the player that has been staked has played in the tournament or sit n go they post something called a "rail". A "rail" is a post in which a player posts the tournament ID# and the hand history of big hands during the tournament. This is to follow the players progress through tournament play.
If a player wants to stake another player he/she makes a post that states the buyin (ex: 1.10) Once the stake is offered, players may post there pokerstars name and location. Example: bob678(arlington). The person who originally posted the stake may choose a player who has listed there pokerstars name.
The following example is when a player named jimmy500 wants to stake 3 players. Example of a stake post: Subject: 3 $5.50 stakes I have a $5.50 mtt stake for 3 players. Tournament #: 51945632 Example of a reply:
bob678(arlington) Example of reply 2:
Ill play. pokerplaya66(miami) Example of a rail: Subject: 5.50 for jimmy500
I just finished in 7th place and cashed with $112. Ill send you $61.50 now.
hand history
hand number: 734658

mtt = multi table tournamnet
sng = sit n go
Never ask for a stake. Don't beg, just wait till someone posts a stake then reply.
Staking is a great way to make a profit off spare change, and its also a good way to build a bankroll. Tell me what you guys think. |

Wanna stake me? Hell, I'm pretty busto right now maybe we can run it up.

Oh, you just want to beg money.
Yeah, no one here has ever heard of "stake", "railbirding", etc.
I was so glad when P* added the requirement that in order to post comments in a tournament you at least had to have enough to buyin to the tournament in your account. That has cut down a lot on the, "Someone, give me money! I'm a WINNAR!" crap.

It's about making money. When the best player in my home game plays in the big game...$500 buy in.....with rebuys.....I have no problem staking him $250 for half his action. Do you think the guys who staked Stu Ungar are sorry they did? Staking is a good thing, you might need a stake one day to get started. if you are any good as a player, I'm sure you'd have no problem getting staked out here.

You guys are good. You guys think I am a begger? Thats too bad. You think i made up "staking" so i can get some free money. Well im sorry to tell you this but you were far off. You see, there are many sites devoted to this "staking" the you believe to be imaginary. Why dont you visit www.neverbeg.com or www.pokerpf.jconserv.net . Take a look at these sites. Its a forum filled with players staking other players in tournaments and sit n go's. Im sorry if you werent interested in getting a free chance to play in a tournament and build your bankroll. But for anyone who is interested...visit my new staking site i just made today: www.lenix.jconserv.net.
