I have been playing online for over a year. I started with a free $100 on Party from
PSO, and have built that up to about $800. I began playing at $25 dollar NL tables but switched to limit this spring because I found my win rate to be higher and the variance lower.
So enough background onto the good stuff...
A couple of times I have gotten my bankroll over $1000 only to see it work its way back to 600-700 and then I work my way back up. I decided that since I like to multi-table 3 tables at once it would be smart to wait until I had a roll of 300 big bets before moving up limits. Thus I have been on the verge of moving up twice only to remain stuck at 1/2. I have identified some holes in my game and recently bought SSHE by Sklansky and Miller to help out.
My question is that I have been considering purchasing Poker Tracker to help fix leaks and to help me identify fish and sharks at the tables. I keep notes but they aren't that great or detailed. I dont really need bankroll management help as I have a very detailed spreadsheet that I use to keep track of all of my sessions.
So for those chiptalkers that have it, is it worth the $55? Considering my short term goals and my level I'm not sure.
Thanks for the advice!
