I was just wondering if anyone else has tried the online poker room - PKR?

A friend put me onto it this morning. The site is still in beta testing and only play money is being used at the moment but it is dead sexy to look at and the game interface isn't too bad. It is certainly worth checking out.

PKR makes preview version of software open to all.

Ugh, these 3D environments are just so lame. I don't know why these companies think that making online poker obnoxious will somehow revolutionize it. I suppose it may be attractive for newbies for a while, but I don't think anyone who wants to play seriously will enjoy it. Less is more. I think of this as sort of the online poker equivalent of the Mansion Speed Poker show, you know the one that's going to 'revolutionize poker'! Where have I heard that before?

I actaully like it. Its a nice substitution for when I don't have a game going on.
One of the problems that I have with the site is that it seems to be rather slow. There are alot of disconnection problems.
One nice thing that I like is the free roles. They are limited to 700 people and the payout up to 50 spots. Granted if you if you are in the lower portion of the top 50 you may only get .25 or so. But its still nice to play in a freerole and actaully be able to win something. I have played in like 6 of the free roles and I was in the money 4 times, i final table. Its just a little more realist as opposed to poker stars where the free role can have 10000 people and they do not even pay out. You have to make the top 27 and that only gets you to the next freeroll where they have a payout.
Overall I really enjoy the site and have not been to any other since it came about. Its kind of like sitting around and playing poker with my friends.
One downfall is that US players are not able to deposit.
