Chips: 1,309 | | | Pokerstars FPP store What do you all consider to be the best value at the Pokerstars FPP store? Has anyone qualified to purchase from the VIP store they started this year? I'm at around 2100 FPP and am considering options re: books. I am not really considering clothes as I am pretty much against the whole walking advertisement for a company thing. Let's hear about your Pokerstars items, please! |

Chips: 840 | | | Re: Pokerstars FPP store FPP's increase in value the more you have. a good ballpark to use is that 1 FPP is worth 1.4 cents. multiply how many FPP's are required to buy something by 1.4, then divide by 100. if you can get the item cheaper than that, then you probably should.
books seem to be some of worst deals in terms of how many FPP's are required. clothing is one of the better values, but yeah - who wants a bunch of stuff with the P* logo on it? (though i do have the Quarter Zip Fleece that i got for 1,800 points, and it's absurdly comfortable).
personally, i figure out the rate at which i'm getting FPP's, look at stuff that i want and figure out how long it would take me to get it. once you hit silverstar, then your FPP's are worth more (closer to 1.6 cents), so i think it's worth it to try and use the points for stuff i wouldn't just run out and buy for myself anyway (like books). i make silverstar every month, and gold star once ever couple of months.
i got the Black 4G iPod Nano for 16,000. . .

gw- | Wow, that's a good value for the iPod. Have you thought about saving up for the Porche or 60" plasma TV? |

Ordered but not receive yet HOH3 and NLHETP. | By the way, do we pay shipping on these items or does the FPP price include it? |

I wish the cuffs were more "elasticy", though. They tend to slip down past my wrists, which is pretty annoying.
Edit: other purchases:
T-Shirt: I don't recommend this item... the lame logo always looks off-center, even when it _is_ centered.
Theory of Poker: this book, of course, I highly recommend.
Many, many qualifier tournaments... all of which I failed to cash.
