Copying Wedge and playing 2 NLHE freerolls.

On stars...

In one I'm currently 125th out of 400 with a slightly above average stack at the second break... starting with 8K1 people.

Second one I'm 443 out of 800~ with 10K (16K~ average) at the 100/200/25 level. 8663 entrants.

Gogo top 27... maybe I can freeroll my way to a new bankroll (although not likely).

Playing these makes me amazed at how much I've improved since I started playing real money in January... I used to be impressed if I even broke the top 1000 in these things. Now I can't wait to reload when Stars has another deposit bonus :O

Re: Copying Wedge and playing 2 NLHE freerolls.

GL.

I finished in 59th out of over 9000... That's top 0.6%... (You know what that pays out at the Main Event?!) Too bad I needed to be top 0.4%

I got $5 in Absolute Poker money for free, so I played there tonight... Won some at the low limit NL cash tables and finished 3rd in a 2-table sit and go... I think I'm around $8 now... I'll get it to $50 and withdraw. ANd if I lose it all...it wasn't mine to start with!

Out in 601 in the second one on a crazy hand... One short stack pushes, I repush with KK, two more people who have me covered push with AA and JJ... short stack shows QQ.

JJ catches on the flop and wipes us all out.

Ah those freerolls are hilarious. I opened one of those up for fun the other night while I was playing a couple $10 +1 SnGs.

Yeah... even when we were down to like 200, there were still people calling/raising OOP with junk like J7o and such...

Wow, I am impressed. That's finishing in the top 1.135%! I'm curious as I've never gotten anywhere close to entering such a massive tournament--how long did it take to get that far?

At least 3 hours is my guess...

Re: Copying Wedge and playing 2 NLHE freerolls.

If you guys are looking to get a new BR started from freeroll money, I suggest trying Absolute. I built my BR up to its current state (~$300) from the $8 I won for finishing second in a freeroll. Plus they limit all freerolls to 2000 entrants, and pay top 18, which is much, much better (read: easier) than PStars IMO. Everyone plays crazy for the first hour usually, but at first break there are around 400 left and play normalizes. Playing tight and getting big hands paid off is the path to the money. Oh, and forget about bluffing, its pretty ineffective.
