in the moment, i call for sure, but where does that put you on the river? it's not much of a plan.
but i'm not much of a cash game player... |

He min-raised... I'm tempted to re-raise, but if he pops us back, we lose the chance to see the river. He could be raising for a free showdown, or raising a draw, trying to get you to fold.
I'd call and evaluate the river. This is a situation where you need more of a read than PT can give you.

I reraised the turn as I wasn't willing to give up the hand yet. In hindsight, the first mistake was the turn bet on my side was too small, only $6 into a pot of roughly $16-$17. I probably should have gone at least $10 probably closer to $15 or simply checked the turn. The indecision resulted in a smaller than effective bet on my part. My reraise on turn probably should have been more also. The funny part is he got the best possible card he could and didn't bet the river, probably thought I would bet out or maybe he was scared of a boat. I didn't have much of a read on him as he had only shown down 4 hands so far. One these was AA which he raised from the SB so I didn't put it likely that he was slowplaying KK or AA from the BB. I was more afraid of a set but I figured he would have reraised the flop and not waited till the turn.
On a general note, I should just fold QQ from now on. When I win with it, they are small pots but when I lose, they are large pots. Out of my last 8k hands, here are my stats for QQ:
Win%: 66.7%
Net$: -63.60
BB/hand: -2.69
PFR%: 100
Its my 3rd biggest losing hand BB/hand and $ wise. |
