Chips: 25 | | | Stay away from Sun Poker I've been making the bonus whoring rounds and have hit about 11 sites. I started playing Sun Poker aka Carabbean Poker and the site is awful.
First off, the software is slow and there are very vew tables at each level. But that's not uncommon for a small site.
After a few days of trying to clear a typical bonus I realized that I wasn't making a dent in my required raked hands I decided it wasn't worth it. (This is the first time ever I couldn't clear the bonus in a reasonable time so that was a first.)
Up on trying to cash out my ballance I found 2 surprises. First they charged me to withdraw money.... even using Neteller.
And 2nd, you can't withdraw any money without a pin number. The pin number is sent via land mail from the UK. So it's been way over a week that I've been waiting for the pin number so that I can pay them to let me cash out.
The site is not really worth playing with so many options out there. Even if you're playing it for a bunus.

If I go to a site and they don't have at least one full ring game at all your basic levels (.50/1.00 - 5/10), I don't even think about signing up. |

I cleared a bonus on that site in about a week, made money while doing it and then cashed out with ease. They then placed a small amount of cash back into my account and asked me to play some more hands. I again used that money to play, make some more money and then cashed out again when I completed the bonus.
I keep returning to party and stars because of software like Tracker and Gametime+

I might sign up at Sun thru PSO when I have exhausted all the other PSO rooms. If I don't clear the Sun bonus, I would at least get the PSO points. |

The same people who are behind Intercasino, Interpoker, William Hill casino & poker, Sands of the Caribbean, etc etc. The pin thing is SOP for them, they've always done it that way. Yes its definitely a PIA the first time, but they do send it out right away and you should get it fairly quickly. Once you have it, their withdrawls go thru very quickly.
Some of their skins charge a $1 fee for withdrawls, some don't. As I recall, will hill and intercasino/poker do not anymore and I usually have the money in neteller in 12hours or maybe 24hours.
The poker rooms are just skins of each other, same as the Prima rooms (32Red, 7 Sultans, etc), the Playtech rooms (Titan, etc). I play them on occassion and don't remember them being that empty. One of the interesting things there is they have tables that you can play in $US or euros or pounds. Whatever currency you have will convert when you sit down and then back again when you stand up. Same with tournaments. The software is definitely in the bottom end of the scale though, not great but not horrible.

I was clearing the a comp through ECD and I need 500 raked hands, which is less than usual. Typically, I can clear one of these in 3 or 4 days.
I played for 3 days on Sun and I had 63 raked hands. There's no easy way to keep track of your raked hands so when I finally got an update I was pretty much floored and said "Screw it."

I've played on almost a dozen other sites and never had issues. Well, one other site had a pin, but they emailed it to me. Quote:

Neteller is offering me a service so I pay fees. But I already pay rake in a poker room, I don't need to pay to cash out.

george | What level were you playing? What is the minimum rake needed for hand to count as raked hand? Do you have to conribute to pot or can you fold preflop for rake to count?

Chips: 25 | | | Re: Stay away from Sun Poker You have to play the .25/.50 table and it has to be raked to .25. You can fold and still count the hand if the rake reaches .25. I think. I play the NL or PL tables.
On most sites I can play the .25/.50 tables and I can crack an comp in 3 or 4 days without really putting a lot of special effort into it. A few hours every night, 2 or 3 table going at once and usually walk away with a profit.
george.... still waiting for my pin # to come in the mail. |
