I will not pretend to be an expert here but it looks like the first (or second) hand of the tournament and MilkyM has just raised you all in. While I usually would push all in with pocket kings without hesitation, I would be rather reluctant to do so this early in a tournament. With a move like that I would put him/her on either pocket aces or a pair of face cards. But since this is a $10 SNG, the villan could be holding anything and trying to project an aggressive table image early on.
Now I'm anxious to see how this turns out. Does the hero take dow a huge pot, fold and live to fight another day, or is his tornament at an end?

Many players in the SNG's like to gamble early trying to double up and give them a better chance to place in the money. Not knowing anything about the player, I would make the call. If he has the AA, so be it. More likly, he has a strong A, perhaps AK or AQ. I have seen lots on all-ins like this even with AJ so you just never know.
I am curious to see what you decided and the outcome if you called. |

If he's that aggressive, he would have raised more than 60 w/ aces. Like Double Eagle says, this seems to be a common move early on in these SnG's. I'd put him on either a small-mid pair, or A-anything.
Interested to see how it played out. Of course if you folded, I guess we'll never know!

I can't remember ever losing an early hand like the one you have outlined. In fact, it happened to me the other night with KK and the other guy had A-10 of hearts. I almost always bet the farm with kings, and with only ten dollars invested in the tourney, I will call here everytime and live with the result. In my opinion, you have to attack early in those sit-n-gos in order to be able to survive down the road. Keep in mind he doesnt think you have aces, so he doesnt necessarily need them to go allin. Great question though. What did you do? |

I have seen so many people do this with A-rag in SNG's that I would call automatically since there is only one hand I am that worried about. Yes, it is early to risk the whole stack but in these things if you double up early you can play tight and make the money easily. Worth the risk.
