PSO Promo for NJ Skulls

How long did it take you to complete this promotion?

Has anyone used Paradise Poker? If so how do you know how many Paradise Points you have? I can not seem to find this on the site. I want to make sure that I have the points before clicking the complete button.

I play .50/1.00 three tables at a time. Just wondering how long everyone thinks it will take me.

Thanks for reading this! And thanks for your thoughts!

Scott

Re: PSO Promo for NJ Skulls

I did Titan 2 weeks ago and it took about 18 hours total. I played $1/$2 Limit for much of it, and played mostly the Top Ten starting hands. I played multiple tables when I could, but many times there was only 1 full table. Finally bumped up to No limit and the points accrued much faster.
Wound up losing a little under $30 for the entire promotion (received $30 in bonus which is factored in already), and my skulls set shipped 8 days after completion.

This discussion was fairly comprehensive in this thread:

Two weeks ago, eh?

We may have bumped heads a few times. The table selection is limited. I played a bit of the 1/2 L, but found more points on the .50/1.00 NL tables as well. I don't normally play limit anyways, and found that even when I only played good hands and got aggressive, I was still seeing rivers every freaking hand. I think I barely broke even at the limet tables, up a bit at the NL, even considering some of the nasty beats I took there (Lost top set to middle set turned quads...I was all in with the best of it...) Last week there wasn't a player to be found on the .50/1.00 Full ring tables.

Re: PSO Promo for NJ Skulls

Thanks for the heads up. I read the other tread and everyone mentioned Party and Titan. I would have preferred to use one of these but I allready had memberships at both of these sites.

I signed up for Paradise because it sounded like all you had to do was play 1000 raked hands (any amount). Where as long as you got cards you got a point for the hand. But it appears that a raked hand only counts if the rake is .25 or more. I have played about 8 hours and I am currently even, but it looks like I only have 280 raked hands. It will take 32 hours to get this done at Paradise.

O well, as long as I can stay even or win some the chips will be worth it.

By the way is there any way to tell for sure that you have completed the requirements for the free set of chips? Does PSO let you know you have played enough hands?

Re: PSO Promo for NJ Skulls

PSO won't tell you when your done, you have to tell them. So you need to keep track of your raked hands. Not sure with Paradise as I have never used it, but most poker rooms show you your raked hands somewhere in the cashier.

Re: PSO Promo for NJ Skulls

That is where I am confused. It show's raked hands but it resets every time I hit a bonus. Currently I get $10 for every 100 raked hands, so I have 2 completed bonuses for $20 and 80 hands to the third bonus (only $5 to complete the $25 sign up bonus)

If anyone is familiar with Paradise I would love any help you have in making sure that I get my Skulls.

Scott

Re: PSO Promo for NJ Skulls

Well it is easy to track then, you need to get $100 bonus cash released to you in order to have hit you 1000 raked hands.

Re: PSO Promo for NJ Skulls

Take a look at this link from PSO. If your bonus is less than $100, you won't be able to tell how many rake hands you have and will have to email Paradise.

pokersourceonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16049&highlight=paradise" target="_blank">http://www. pokersourceonline.com/for...light=paradise

I think that guy's situation is exactly same as yours.

Hope this helps

Re: PSO Promo for NJ Skulls

I just completed this one a week or so ago, took the longest of any site I've done thru them so far. Once you get that $25 bonus done, there's no way to see how many raked hands you've got. You have to email them and ask when you want an update. Gotta be .25 rake or better, so I played the .50/1 NL as well as the pineapple table at .5/1. That one seemed to get raked every hand, and i really enjoy pineapple.

Try to keep track with a tick sheet or something and then email and ask them every day or 2 to see where you stand.
