It's probably the same as all the ebooks on eBay that sell for $20 and have the same info you could get for free by reading 2+2 and getting a starting hands chart.

Don't waste your money.

My advice is to get your knowledge the old fashion way - learn by playing, reading good poker books (the ones by professionals who actually play as opposed to the internet wonders), and talking strategy with other players - especially those you play with who are stronger than you because they can tell you about your actual play as opposed to just theory.

As far as purchased information, there a a ton of great books out there by successful professional players - like the guys with multiple bracelets as opposed to the fly by night crowd which is trying to capitalize on the "poker craze." Harrington on Hold'em, Supper System, Caro's Book of Poker Tells, Sklansky's Theory of Poker, and many others. If you want to spend money, mspatton has a great selection over at HPC - just follow this link to the promised land: http://www.holdempokerchips.com/products.asp?cat=22

Re: Is this a scam?

Its sounds more to me like he's got some 'system' to make money, a rakeback thing most likely.

Doesn't sound too impressive. If his max per day is only $800 odd, that is not much.

Much better to spend your money on some decent book.

$800 per day is not that much?? Even only 5 days a week, that's $200,000!

Chump change - nothing compared to the paycheck of a government employee!

I wouldn't know about that. I have seen so many reports about people getting caught using thier government credit cards for boob jobs, exotic dancers, and EBay purchases that I put mine in a drawer and forgot about it - I am too scared to use it even for legitimate purchases.
