Chips: 501 | | | Limit vs No Limit Not necessarily online-specific, but I was just curious what people prefer to play - limit or no limit games? (doesn't have to be just HE either, I guess).
Personally, I play no limit tournaments and ring games when I get together with friends, but play mostly limit games online.

Chips: 501 | | | Re: Limit vs No Limit I work nights and have classes in the mornings, so my poker playing time is limited and at odd times Not often do I really have more than an hour or two to spare.
Plus, Thursday night is our regular poker night with my group of friends so I don't usually even have a chance to play in the Chiptalk tournaments... maybe one of these nights.

Always NLTH. Once and awhile I play online and prefer limit there. |

Even split between NLHE tournies and limit cash games (very rarely a NL cash game). Looking to start some Pot Limit cash games this fall for Omaha (hi & hi/lo) and Hold'em.
Online
=====
Almost execlusively Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo cash games (95%+) . Occassionally, I'll play a NLHE cash game or sign up for a SNG not counting the CT tournies. |

Chips: 141 | | | Re: Limit vs No Limit Most nights I play limit ring games (full and short) online. I'm starting to play NL ring home games lately - there are no live limit ring games around here. When I go to casinos, I play limit ring games.
Basically, given the choice I'll either play limit hold'em or PLO8 in ring games, but I go where the action is.
I also enjoy heads up live chinese poker. |

Online: I've drifted away from Limit and headed to more No Limit. Like SNGs particularly (1 or 2 table). I'll play the occasional MTT (like the ChipTalk weekly) or a large low buy-in MTT. I'm sure I'll go back to Limit eventually but having "fun" with NL SNG's for now. |

The strategy is quite different, though...focussing more on drawing hands than made hands. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
