I finished in a spot in a satellite tournament that pays you to then enter a larger tournaent and i was wondering if i can just have the cash becuase when i unregestered for the tourney it gave me money in some W$ money form.

The only way is to sell it to someone who wants to buy usually at a discount. Check RGP, there couple of offers per day.

there are also a couple of sites that buy and sell $T and $W, though you won't get even close to face value.

i won 650 $W and sold them for $580 in cash.

You could always save them and use them for next years WCOOP, that's what I may do.

You can also use that money for Sit-and-Go's. That's what my buddy did... He won a big chunk of tournament money on PokerStars in a freeroll, but decided it would be more profitable to fund his Sit-And-Go's. The wins for the SnG's turn into straight up cash homey.

You sure he was using W$?? I think that was probably T$ he was using, since I haven't been able to use W$ in a sit & go unless it was a satellite for something bigger.

yeah - you can only use $W for "special events," which includes WSOP, WPT, EPT, and WCOOP satellites, super satellites, and satellite SNG's.

cashmanbrian's website is still up - not sure what URL you were trying. sellyourseat currently has a higher exchange rate than cashmanbrian.

if you win enough $W, you can actually use them to buy directly into select WSOP events, including the early $1,500 NL event and the main event.
