Nevada Jacks - Absolute Poker?

Anyone used Absolute poker to get the nevada jacks? If so, How do I see how many raked hands I've played??

Thanks,
Saemi

Just click on the cashier button on the mail screen after you've logged in. Your hands played will be displayed as "points". The counter starts over everytime you reach 100 points/hands. I'm currently doing it.

Re: Nevada Jacks - Absolute Poker?

I had a much harder time clearing PR than Absolute.
As for the raked hands, like Frankenswat said, they are under the 'pending bonus' in the cashier window. Once you've released $40, you're done with the PSO promo.

Re: Nevada Jacks - Absolute Poker?

I did Absolute to get points..Not only did it take forever, I also found a lot of tight players there. Lost my $100 deposit on that one. Least favorite of any poker room I have tried.

Re: Nevada Jacks - Absolute Poker?

i did party to get my jacks (total cake, i played the beginers tables, like $0.02-.04 stakes, no rake needed). but as most folks know, the stock denoms you get are useless for tournies. so i did another PSO promo for points, you can trade your points in the store for 100 count rolls of jacks. for the points promo i did absolute. i didnt have that much trouble, and im not a fan of ring games.

some things i learned about promo:

play at least 1-2 stakes, of course the NL games are better cause the fish will jack the pot up. a raked hand means they they take $0.25 from a pot of $5 or more. playing 1-2 limit, 9 out 10 hands will be raked. and you do not have to contribute to the pot. you can fold every hand your delt and will still get points as long as the pot reches $5. lower limits will take much longer to clear.

and make sure you know which points to watch. for the first 100 hands, i watched the absolute rewards points. these will accumulate with any hand played, raked or not.

you want to watch the "current points" under your "pending account bonus." these are the raked hands. the points counter will reset after every 100 points and $10 will be released into your account.

it took me only about 5-6 hours to clear playing 2-3 tables. i know some folks have problems if they play the lower limits. tighten up and play the higher ones and you can knock it out quick.

**edit**

sorry frankenswat, i didnt see you explained the points.

as for poker room, i started looking into there rake/points system i figured it would take a LOT more hands to clear this promo.

absolute and party are the 2 easiest rooms to clear for this promo.

Re: Nevada Jacks - Absolute Poker?

I found the 7 stud game at absolute to be the cheapest/quickest way to clear it, but the easiest I've done was Titan. Play 1/2 NL and get nearly 500 stars/hour. 7 hours or so clears the bonus and the place is an aquarium.

Re: Nevada Jacks - Absolute Poker?

If you're a low limit player, absolute clears best at short handed tables, or 7stud.

Re: Nevada Jacks - Absolute Poker?

Stay clear from Absolute - it's absolute alright - absolutely horrible. If you're playing lower limits .5/1 and under there are very few 9 man tables. And the ones that are available are full of bonus whores so the it's rare that a pot gets to the minimum $5 to qualify for the .25 rake.

God damn does Absolute suck!! Stay away!!! I've only ever tried Party, PokerRoom, and Interpoker and all of those are miles ahead of absolute.
