I really hate pacific poker

You can say random card generator all you want I have not run into such bad luck lately on pacific poker had pocket rockets busted after hitting a set on the flop. hand goes like this

I have A(h) A(c) second in chips with about 945
player to my right (betting into me) calls big blind, and I am on the button I raise to 400 blinds are 50-100 small blind folds big blind folds this guy calls

flop A(d) 6(c) 7(s) he checks I bet 100 he goes all in, I figure I got top set he is probably on two pair or another set himself or something like AK. I have the best hand at this point so I call him leaving me with about 150 left in chips after raising for just under half of what I had.

turn comes its 2 (d) river 8(s) when i see that he went all in with 9-10 I about blew my computer up. I can't believe a hit like that. I then watched the guy suck out three more hands to finish the table in second place I could not believe the amount of bad play that was rewarded. I am not saying the game is fixed but you have to be kidding me sometimes the way some of the people hit.

My last tourney finished third (so I got paid) but once again I have A(c) J(h) short stack three of us left I go all in preflop I get called buy big blind he answered my all in with a 5-7 os and hit two pair i was short and when he called he was only 30 bucks ahead of me I for the life can't figure out why you call an all in betwith 5-7 os ????????????? just baffles me

The above examples are good reasons why it is so profitable to play at Pacific. As others have said, when they beat you with crap, that is the only time you see their crappy cards but how about the many times when that happens and you win. Their crappy cards just gets mucked and you don't see them.

All I know is that when I get sucked out like that couple of times a session, I usually more than make it up the next time.

I know you are talking about tournaments, mostly likely low entry or freerolls from the contex of your post. I play mostly cash games but Pacific players are the same on both, very loose and agressive, maniacs.

I LOVE PACIFIC. Only wish I could get rakeback there.

I know what you are saying about that the aggressive loose play. I was in a fast table tournament one wasa Short handed $5 +.50 five handed ultra nitro and the other was a 16 man $5 +.50 so it paid three places.

I like playing the seven card stud there personally.

Ditto this statement.

Pacific does not allow for multitabling - so the low limits are populated with more fish than sharks. These guys make the most horrid plays imaginable - you just need to ride out the bad beats.

Torunaments are always tough on this - as a lost hand may knock you out. It happens - go on to the next SnG.

In limit - I love this. I have had winning sessions get wrecked when the loose player hits his inside st8 draw on the river. So what? The other 90% of the time I rake the pot.

I cannot remember where I read this - but it makes a lot of sense. If you truly are a good player, the ratio of river suckouts that you get vs your opponents should be small - that is, they should be hitting the lucky river card to beat you a lot more than you getting the lucky card. Why? - well, that means you will have the best hand going in more often, which is what wins in the long run.

Heard from Pacific that they testing software to allow multitabling. They said need lots of testing as it is complicated, should be out next year.

I think I wrote something like that in the other forum. "Good players get bad beat more often because the fish are chasing with bads card while good players fold most of their bad cards and do not chase unless pot/implied odds justify it."

Nooooooooooooooo

I hate that idea. While it will generate more money for Pacific, I would bet that leaves less for me. At least I have jumped up enough in limits to where it is not as relevant.

There software is kind of buggy anyway - I hope that this does not make it worse.
