Looks like TopPair Magazine has organized a freeroll tournament that invites members of any poker related forum to register and compete for their favorite poker forum for a chance for your forum to win a share of $1400 in cash and prizes. The freeroll tourney is on October 29th (Saturday).

Link is at: http://www.forumchallengefreeroll.com/ with the details. I'm not associated with this thing but am wondering if ChipTalk is wanting to participate in this. The freeroll is on GamesGrid - so lots of us would have to sign up with an account there.

Freeroll is sponsored by TopPair Magazine. So far one forum has over 400 members registered for this. Gah - we'd need heavy participation to top that.

I'd be willing to help out, too bad it is a Saturday. If it was a weekday I could promise I'd be there but my Saturdays are usually booked. I will definately try if this is something that we all want to go for.

Canadian provinces are OK...however I never opened a real money account, but since this would be a freeroll I am assuming no one would have to open an account.

And Thursday nights are our regular poker game here, so it's even hard for me to play in the Chiptalk tournaments Oh well, one of these nights I'm sure I'll be able to.

Going to rebump this thread as more and more of these challenges are popping up.

There is a new site that is sponsoring freerolls for poker forum members. ChipTalk would be an excellent candidate for this. If someone on this forum signs up and ends up in the top 3 spots, not only do they win some nice cash but it will also award a free $500 freeroll for their forum members!

The site is at: http://www.pokerforumchallenge.com/ - This site is a site that makes it's money from getting new accounts signed up at Royal Vegas Poker. The top forum sites (one of them is PSO by the way) have members sign up and download and create an account on Royal Vegas Poker. You can then play in their monthly freeroll tourneys. Winners get cash and their forums get recognition and another member only freeroll.

I'm thinking about doing this just for the freerolls. Would be nice to see some of our good tourney players from ChipTalk take down one of these tourneys. Can't let PSO take all the glory.

Anyone already doing this freeroll and can tell more about it?
